Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Pay?
In person appointments can be made via eftpos at the end of the session. If you are having a telehealth appointment, the therapist will process your payment via credit card with our secure online payment system. It is a requirement when engaging our services to provide your credit card details using our secure payment system.
How much does it cost?
50 minute session: $160, 80 minute session: $220. Our fees are substantially lower than the APS’s recommended fee of $260 per session. Please note that NDIS, WorkCover, WorkSafe, VOCAT, and Private Insurance incurs an additional $36, which covers the additional supervision needed.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes long with the remaining 10 minutes used for admin. Longer sessions for deeper work are 80 minutes.
Your data and privacy
We take the security and confidentiality of your personal information seriously. What you share with your therapist will remain confidential following the rules of the HIPAA. We follow industry best practices to ensure that your personal health information is kept secure. For questions about your data or privacy, please contact us.
Do You Offer After Hours Sessions?
Yes. We offer sessions from 8am until 7pm. There is currently no additional charge for our after hours service.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please cancel using your dashboard at least 24 hours before your scheduled therapy. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before your appointment are charged the full fee. Clients are made aware of this on the signed consent form and email booking reminders acknowledge this to ensure there are no hidden surprises.
How do I cancel or reschedule sessions?
All cancellations and changing session times must be done via the dashboard at connectingtotherapy.com/account. Using the dashboard allows cancellation/reschedule to immediately go into therapists’ diaries, flags the slot as available online for others to book, and prevents therapists from having to prepare for the session.
Are your sessions in person or Telehealth via zoom?
Currently we are running all sessions via Telehealth (Zoom and Google Meets).
Do you work with the Mental Health Care Plan?
We’ve structured our pricing at a flat fee of $160 for a 50 minute session, which is more economical in the long run. Typically, therapists who offer rebates charge between $220-260 with a rebate of $88, making the net cost $132-170, but this is typically for only 6 sessions. After these sessions, pricing reverts to the full price ($220-$260), which is a significant jump.
Are You Covered by VOCAT (Victims Of Crime Assistance Tribunal)?
Yes. We have a close working relationship with VOCAT and have full registration with them. You need to ensure that coverage with them will cover therapy as well.
